Shoes I’d Love to Love

But seriously, I love them already.

UPDATE: Thanks to Pinterest, I just learned that the shoes were featured in the DW by Kanye West runway show at Paris Fashion Week, and are likely a part of the new brand (fingers crossed that the hit store shelves!)  The shoes are designed by Giuseppe Zanotti for DW by Kanye West Spring 2012.

Holiday Wishing and a Great Big FarFetch Wishlist

Holidays are an excuse to eat too much, work out less, and make list after list of holiday wishes.  Though the new year is still a few weeks away, I am also crafting a new me (or rather, a slightly revamped me.)  After the three-week eating fest (stressing “after“), I will walk more – there’s much needed entertainment on my walks and I could use a little sunshine (Edward Cullen’s got nothing on me … though sadly I am without the built-in sparkle … and yes, I just referenced those Twilight movies.)  Also, I will wear more lipstick.  I will bite my tongue, but speak when I know that I should.  I will attempt to rock a more modern, edgy – a little less Blair, a little more Serena (gasp) – look.  I will learn new things.  I will go out on a limb and take risks.  I will save, like a responsible adult … for a shiny new toy (preferably an Ipad in mustard yellow Gucci armor or really anything by Marc Jacobs.)  And I will continue to make wishlists, dream lists, attainable goal lists, and ingredient lists – because all of my post-it notes, word documents, Pinterest boards, and Photoshop spreads help me to dream bigger and accomplish more, and that’s pretty cool! (Nerd alert.)

Oh right – the Far Fetch list – because I am kind, and can offer my gift list all in one tidy storefront.  You’re welcome, Santa (err, Chanukah Harry.)

Chic Baskets

As summer approaches, I brainstorm about ways to carry more junk.  I am a purse hoarder (as in, my hoarding is limited to the walls of my handbag.)  All of my purses are heavy, even the tiniest of clutches (that is, when I haven’t actually turned the clutch into a make-up bag, and added it to the growing collection in my current giant bag du jour – it’s like Russian nesting dolls … in purse world).

This summer, on the heels of our winter honeymoon and jaunt through Paris (though it seems so long ago … le sigh), I am dreaming in baskets.

I am smitten with these French Market Bags by the French Basketeer.  I basically want them because they are French, and because their advertisement pictures display stacks upon stacks of the pretty baskets – it’s a hoarder’s dream.

French Basketeer shop owner, Andrea, says “Our classic baskets have been a staple in France for decades, seen everywhere from Parisian markets to the beaches of the Riviera. French Basketeer now brings this timeless chic to the United States.”

Summer trend baskets I also love:

Vamp

Long before Twilight, there was Anne Rice.  I obsessed over her books for years.  AhemInterview With A Vampire (the film version) … Brad Pitt … Tom Cruise (pre-crazy).  So it’s no surprise that I am inexplicably fixed on these Baby Vamp Rings by Bittersweets New York.  The miniature-fanged rose gold rings are sold as a pair, so you can split your pair and give one to your better half (though, admittedly, I don’t share well).

Glam Bobby Pins

Perhaps it’s the 4 year old girl in me or it’s my obsessive compulsive refusal to have that telltale strip of hair-bang-mutation fall into my face all day, but I am such a fan of bobby pins.  It doesn’t take much to thrill me.  I don’t even go for the $3 and up versions, I’m a 99 cent pack of Goody bobby pins purchaser.  But today I will admit, I have fallen for $15 bobby pins.  It’s not my fault Jane Tran‘s designs are so fab.
