These are a few of my favorite things …

A recent wall in an Anthropologie store, King’s Road.  Some brands just get it right.

And as Summer heads out, and I attempt to rock shorts with tights for 7 months, a sweet denim scallop-hem cutoff DIY.

Though Halloween is still weeks away, I’m a planner.  And these DIY bats are amazing! {Found via My Yellow Sandbox a la Made By Dana; Country Living template HERE}

DIY ombré nails.  Yes!

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE Pinterest?  I do.  I really do.

Knit Home Accessories

How perfect are these home knits by Ferm Living?  The Danish design shop has created a knitted accessories collection featuring chunky weaves and modern concepts.  The knitted baskets, pillows and vases are all knit by hand and come in colors like charcoal, petrol, mustard, coral, off white, grey and blue.  Clearly, my obsession with knits didn’t stop after the Giganto Knit Blanket find.

Nail Jewelry aka Nail Armour

Whenever I think about nail art, I imagine tiny bottles of spray paint, glue-on crystals, and strange dangling charms pierced through the nail (that I’m convinced can cause some serious damage.)  I’ve never been into nail attachments.  Like every girl, I love polish and bling, but I never jumped on the fake nail trend, instead keeping my nails short and sweet.

But lately the internet has been popping up with some seriously kickin’ nail “armour” and I just can’t get enough.  Like a shield for the nail, I’m not sure how these gilded press-ons stay on, but they definitely look COOL.  And if anything, maybe they’re a luxe band-aid alternative for battered (and chewed) nails?

Daily System

My walls have been undecidedly blank for too long; the excuse that we just moved in wore off by our second month in the new house.  MY plan is to decorate with practicality in mind.  I’m a bit of a whirlwind of chaos, though I’m always punctual (not sure how that works out every time, but I manage!)

Anyhoo, our kitchen is our main base.  I’m drawn to any place with coffee and tupperware filled with snacks.  Perhaps if the daily reminders were in the kitchen, I’d have a better shot at remembering to do the 76 things I’d set out to do that day.  And thus my obsession with the Daily System.

Alisa from 365 Days of Olivia {via Knock Off Decor} created a command center to help keep herself organized and scheduled.  She threw in a few special vintage pieces to complete the look and pulled off a super chic design wall.  {LEFT}  Her original inspiration came from one of the set designs for the Daily System from Pottery Barn.  {RIGHT}

Kate Spade, ever the masters of making women happy, has come out with a perfect line of lipsticks, and all are more perfect (and classic) than the next.  Thank goodness, this first batch only offers four colors, because I’ll likely “need” them all.

I love the simplicity and the use of embroidery floss (one of my favorite crafty supplies … I blame summer camp and the second half of the nineties) of this DIY hair comb.  So chic!

Why yes, Club Monaco, we can be friends! {See the Lookbook created in collaboration with Dazed & Confused magazine here or shop the Club Monaco collection at Shopbop.com}

I’ve always loved lip balm (fancy for chapstick), thus my excitement over the release of Maybelline’s new Baby Lips Repairing Lip Balm collection.  Set to release in early October, Maybelline’s new lip balms are tinted and a mere $3.99.  I have my sights set on Cherry Me, Peach Kiss, and Pink Punch.

And for my sister – a truly fabulous hairstyle we.must.try. (and probably half-fail at.)

Rag & Bone Harrow Booties

It’s nearly October, which means my tireless hunt for boots and booties kicks back into full gear any day now.  The kick-off:  Reese Witherspoon’s Rag & Bone Harrow two-tone booties. Love. Want. Need. (Sold. Out. Everywhere.)
